Hyacinths are a fragrant flowering plant that blooms early to mid-spring. Planted in mid-to-late fall, Hyacinths produce showy flowers in shades of blue, purple, white, red and pink. The flowers appear in thick clusters on tall spikes – each densely packed with star-shaped florets that are rich in colour. With its famously sweet scent, Hyacinths are a favorite amongst bees that are just waking up from their winter hibernation.
