Location: Tulip Festival / Pick Farm (Outdoor)
Season: Late April – May (Weekdays & Weekends)
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Shifts between 8:00am–9:00pm (4–8 hour shifts); Must be available to work May 2, 3, 9, & 10.
About the Role
Bouquet Wrapping & Merchandise Attendants are responsible for wrapping tulip bouquets, counting stems accurately, and checking out guests purchasing merchandise or add-ons. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role and is often the final interaction guests have before leaving the event. Accuracy, efficiency, and a friendly attitude are essential. Attendants assigned to the merchandise tent will answer product questions and ensure the space is maintained. This role requires attention to detail, comfort working on your feet, and the ability to keep lines moving while maintaining a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Wrap bouquets neatly and efficiently
- Count tulip stems accurately for each guest
- Identify and communicate add-ons
- Process purchases using a POS system / iPad for extra tulips, merchandise and other add-ons
- Handle cashless transactions accurately
- Keep the line moving during peak periods
- Answer basic questions or direct guests to managers, as needed
- Maintain a calm, positive demeanor, even when busy
- Answer questions about merchandise and gardening products
- Restock and price product and ensure the floor and merchandise floor is clean and safe for visitors
Requirements
- Must be 16+ (18+ preferred)
- Comfortable using iPads or tablets
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication skills
- Calm under pressure during peak times
- Comfortable standing for long periods
- Reliable transportation to and from the site
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Must be available weekends
Nice to Have
- Experience with retail, POS systems, or iPads; comfort handling payments
- Customer service or event experience
- Gardening and product knowledge about bulbs a plus
