About Casa Blanca Oriental Lily
The Casa Blanca Lily (Lilium) is perhaps the most perfect of all the large Oriental Lilies. The huge flowers have pure, milky-white petals and contrasting burnt-orange anthers, earning it the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
Blooming later in the season than most Lilies, each 4-foot stem bears up to 8 impressive 12-inch (30 cm) flowers. Oriental Lilies, characterized by their sweeping petals that arch backward towards the stem, feature elongated, striking stamens, and a wonderfully sweet fragrance. They look stunning in garden beds, containers, make excellent fresh cut flowers and are beloved by bees and butterflies! Try planting a "moon garden" and watch these lilies glow in the moonlight!
For an extended vase life, cut Lilies when the bulb shows colouration and begins to open. Trimming off the anthers at the ends of stamens prevents tablecloth staining.
