About Crocus Sieberi Tricolor
The snow may still be falling, but this spectacular little beauty is beginning to bloom. An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, Crocus Sieberi Tricolor, also known as 'Snow Crocus' is one of the most striking and earliest crocuses to flower. These large, fragrant flowers have lilac-blue petals and a golden throat delicately edged with pure white. Sitting atop sturdy stems and surrounded by grass-like foliage, the blooms open only in the light and close tightly in rainy weather and at night. A fantastic pollinator, Sieberi Tricolor naturalizes easily, will come back year after year and looks stunning in flower beds, lawns, under trees, rock gardens, in front of shrubs or along walkways.
