About Narcissus Tazetta Martinette

The Narcissus Tazetta Martinette will make your garden come alive with colour each mid-spring without fail. The small-cupped Daffodil is adorned with slightly wavy overlapping petals of lemon-yellow surrounding a small, tangerine-orange cup. With up to six sweetly fragrant flowers clustered together, each stem looks like a dazzling bouquet. This Tazetta is a terrific naturalizer and will thrive and multiply, with little care, year after year bringing stunning color to your spring garden, wildflower meadow or any place you plant them.

How to Grow Narcissus

Planting Narcissus

  • Plant these bulbs in fall.
  • If you cannot plant your bulbs right away store them in a cool, dry, dark location, like a basement.
  • Plant them with the pointy end up in a sunny to semi-shaded area about 15 cm (6 in) deep and 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 in) apart.
  • Water thoroughly after planting.

Growing Narcissus

  • These bulbs do best in well-drained soil.
  • These bulbs are suitable for almost every possible application: fields, beds, containers, borders, rock gardens, as cut flowers and for forcing.
  • These bulbs look good planted in groups at the base of trees or in wooded areas.
  • Plant in groups of eight or more bulbs which then appear more natural.

Narcissus Care

  • These bulbs are deer resistant and work great in areas where deer or rodents are a problem.
  • Fertilize just before they start blooming.
  • Remove the flowers when they are spent. Otherwise the plant will divert energy from building up the bulb, which is necessary for next year’s display.

Winterizing Narcissus

  • After flowering, the leaves should be allowed to die down. The leaves will gather sunlight and provide nourishment for next year’s show.
  • These bulbs come back for several years.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
