Planting

• If you cannot plant your bulbs right away store them in a cool, dry, dark location, like a basement.
• Fill a 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 in) pot halfway with soil.
• Plant the bulbs with the pointed end up leaving the tip of the bulbs exposed. Gently pack the soil between the roots and around the bulbs.
• Keep soil moist not wet and never water over the bulb nose, always around the sides of the pot.

Growing

• Paperwhites grow best in direct sunlight at room temperature 21 ˚C (70 ˚F).
• Flowers are pleasantly fragrant, so plant them where their fragrance can be appreciated.
• Rotate the pot occasionally to prevent the stems from bending towards the light.
• Water as needed during active growth periods.

Taking Care

• Move the plant out of direct sunlight when flowers appear to prolong the bloom time.
• Blooms in just 6 to 8 weeks after planting.

Winterizing

• After Paperwhites finish blooming, we recommend that you throw the bulbs out or toss them on the compost pile. They won’t bloom again indoors.
