Planting Anemone blanda

Plant these bulbs in fall.
For best results, soak the corms in a bowl of water for 3 hours before planting.
These bulbs should be planted in humus- rich, well-drained soil.
Plant them 8 cm (3 in) deep and 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 in) apart. Plant them on their edge if you’re not sure how to plant them.
Water thoroughly after planting.

Growing Anemone blanda

These bulbs look good planted in groups at the base of trees or in wooded areas.
Plant in groups of fifteen or more bulbs which then appear more natural.
WAlso look great when planted at the front of borders or rock gardens.

Care Anemone blanda

These bulbs require frequent watering until they come into flowering. Once flowering, they should be lightly watered.
Drier conditions are tolerated in summer when the plant is dormant.

Winterizing Anemone blanda

After flowering, the leaves should be allowed to die down. The leaves will gather sunlight and provide nourishment for next year’s show.
It is helpful to fertilize the bulbs through winter and also as the foliage dies down in spring.
These bulbs come back year after year.
