Tulips are the most colourful of all spring flowers and one of the easiest to grow. Simply plant the bulbs in the fall as they require a dormancy period with cool, winter-like temperatures. During this time the bulbs sprout roots while the leaves and flowers develop in the bulb. Come spring, your garden will be bursting with vibrant colour.

Tulips also have a long history in the Netherlands. Back in the 1600’s, a period called ‘Tulip Mania’ the frenzy sale of Tulip bulbs made them more expensive than some homes.
