Mint – Peppermint
- The flavor of mint goes well with many savoury ingredients, especially vegetables. We eat mint with lamb, usually made into mint sauce, as it helps digest the fatty nature of the meat. Tis fresh leaves, either chopped or ground, can also be added to salads. A medicinal herb tea made from the fresh or dried leaves has a very pleasant and refreshing taste.
Mint is an exceptionally fragrant and ornamental plant and makes a wonderful addition to any wildlife garden. Best is to plant in pots in case you like to avoid rapid expansion throughout the garden.
